The Rotary motto is “Service above Self”
The aim of the Membership Committee is to promote the club to non members, which in turn will recruit new ones. It is also to encourage people to join an organisation that provides service throughout the world. We like to foster friendship, enjoyment, camaraderie and the retention of all our members, both within the club and within the wider sense of Rotary, locally, nationally and worldwide.
We were chartered in 2005, so we are a relatively young club but we carry out community work for local people, schools and charities plus we support health, water and other projects abroad.
We meet every Monday (except Bank Holidays) evenings at The Norfolk Mead Hotel in Coltishall. We collect in the bar before having a meal followed by a guest speakers talk. The meal commences at 7.30pm and we are generally finished by around 10.00pm.
